Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 April 2026
1. About This Policy
This policy explains how clarentadvisory.com (and associated domains clarentadvisory.co.uk and clarentadvisory.uk) uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They serve various purposes, from enabling the website to function correctly to helping us understand how visitors use our pages.
3. How We Use Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies on our website. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, track you across other websites, or serve targeted advertising.
Our cookies fall into three categories:
3.1 Essential Cookies
These are required for the website to function. They cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management and security — distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic | 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that a visitor has passed a Cloudflare security challenge | Up to 24 hours |
3.2 Functional Cookies
These enhance your experience on our website. Under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (in effect from 5 February 2026), functional cookies that pose a low risk to user privacy are exempt from the requirement to obtain prior consent. We provide clear information about them here, and you can opt out at any time (see Section 4).
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cal.com preferences | Cal.com (EU instance) | Remembers your preferences when using the discovery conversation scheduling tool embedded on our website | Session |
3.3 Analytics
We use cookie-free analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website — which pages are visited, how visitors navigate, and general traffic patterns. These tools do not set cookies, do not use client-side storage, and do not collect or store IP addresses or any data that identifies individual visitors.
Cloudflare Web Analytics — our primary analytics tool. It operates entirely server-side through the Cloudflare network and does not place any cookies or tracking code on your device.
Fathom Analytics — we may additionally use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that uses hashing and salting techniques to produce anonymous aggregate data. Fathom does not set cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and offers EU data isolation (all data from EU visitors is processed within the EU).
Because neither analytics tool sets cookies or collects personal data, no consent is required and no opt-out mechanism is necessary for analytics on this website.
4. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
Opt out of non-essential cookies
You can opt out of functional and analytics cookies at any time. To do so:
- Browser settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies from your browser preferences. The steps vary by browser — consult your browser’s help documentation for instructions.
Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from functioning correctly.
Browser-specific guidance
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5. Third-Party Cookies
Our website embeds a scheduling tool from Cal.com (EU instance). When you interact with the scheduling widget, Cal.com may set its own cookies on your device. Cal.com’s use of these cookies is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
Similarly, Cloudflare (our hosting and security provider) may set cookies for security and performance purposes as described in Section 3.1.
We do not permit any other third parties to set cookies through our website.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new tools or services to the website, or if the law changes. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
